Dream

The symbolic representation of Deen(Religion) is that of a robe or a gown.Abu Saeed Khudri Radhiyallahu Anhu narrated that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said:"I dreamt that people were present before me wearing robes of different sizes.Some wore gowns that just reached their chests;others wore them below their chests;Umar(Radhiyallahu Anhu)wore a long flowing robe with its train trailing on the ground."The Companions Radhiyallahu Anhum asked;"What is the significance of this dream?"Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said:"It(The length of the robe)signifies Deen(in the life of the wearer)"(MISHKAAT) (Jazaa Ul A'maal by Hazrat Maulana Asyraf Ali Thanvi Rahimahullah)

Istighfar

By virtue of acts of obedience,people are blessed with plentiful rains,their worldly wealth increases,their families grow;their gardens flourish and their rivers flow plentifully.Allah Ta'ala says:(Nuh Alaihissalam said to them:)"Seek forgiveness of your Lord.Lo!He is ever Forgiving.He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rains.And will help you with wealth and sons;and will assign unto you gardens and will assign unto you rivers"(NUH:10-12)(Jazaa Ul A'maal by Hazrat Maulana Asyraf Ali Thanvi Rahimahullah)

A Note

If somebody suffers a monetary loss,his devotion to Allah leads t a better recompense.Allah Ta'ala says:"Oh Prophet!Say unto those captives who are in your hands:"If Allah knows any good in your hearts,He will give you better than that which has taken from you,and will forgive you.Lo!Allah is Forgiving,Merciful"(Anfal:70)
Note:The verse refers to the captives of Badr.They were set free on payment of ransom,but they were promised a better recompense(By Allah),if they became true Muslims.In course of time of the promise was fulfilled(by Allah) and they were endowed with Bountiful Wealth(Jazaa-ul-Amal by maulana Asyraf Ali Thanwi rahimahullah)
